In our continued efforts to make the widespread adoption of NDC a reality, CWT recently announced the launch of our new pilot project that will allow travel advisors to make live NDC reservations for our customers. This is a sea change for CWT and the business travel industry.
The NDC changes more than just distribution technology, as it will impact other aspects of travel procurement, travel programs and the traveler experience.
That’s why I’m excited to participate as a moderator at the upcoming GBTA 2022 convention, focusing specifically on how we can help our customers better navigate the evolving world of NDC. With this year’s conference theme being (Re)Connect, (Re)Imagine, (Re)Create, it’s the perfect opportunity to connect our partners and customers to imagine ways we can work together to drive NDC forward.
We’ve all discussed the ways we think NDC will change airline distribution, but it’s time to take a deeper look at how NDC could change travel and travel programs. The heart of managed business travel is the program itself, which requires careful design and deployment based on a range of factors and nuances.
Therefore, Tuesday, August 16. I will moderate the open round table “Navigating an NDC World – Strategies for Success” to explore how NDC will play a more central role in the overall management of travel programs. The session will bring together industry experts and insiders who will work together to explore how NDC could change the way airline travel programs are designed.
If you are attending GBTA, I hope you will join me for this challenging session to gain more insight into how we can reach the next phase of our NDC journey.
